Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be referred by my GP?
You do not have to be referred by your GP. However, it is good practice for your GP to be kept informed and Mr Humzah will write to him or her following your consultation and procedure(s) unless you specifically request otherwise.
What happens at the initial consultation?
Mr Humzah will take a full medical history, examine you and talk to you in detail about why you are thinking of having plastic surgery and the results you hope to achieve. He will explain the various options open you and outline any risks so that you have a realistic idea of the possible outcomes.
Is there a fee for the consultation?
The fee for an initial consultation for any surgical procedure is £110. An initial consultation for a non surgical procedure such as dermal fillers costs £80. Virtual consultations via secure tele-medicine link are also available at a cost of £50. You may still need to attend for a face to face consulation before proceeding with treatment but the cost of this is discounted to £60.
The fee for the consulation includes a written summary of the discussion sent to you afterwards and a second consultation should you have further questions.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You will receive a letter detailing everything discussed with Mr Humzah during the consultation. You will also receive a precise quotation for the procedure(s) discussed during the consultation.
Can I have more than one consultation before surgery?
You are welcome to come back for a second consultation, free of charge, if you have further questions or concerns.
How much will my procedure cost?
Our website lists approximate costs but it is impossible to give a precise cost until after you have had your consultation. Once you have decided exactly which procedure is right for you a precise quotation will be sent to you in writing. This will include all the costs of your surgery or other treatment.
Can I spread the cost of payment?
The Hospital can usually recommend a company with whom you can arrange a finance plan.
Do you use ultrasound scans for fillers and toxins?
Mr Humzah advocates the use of an ultrasound scan to determine the depth of the muscles in the face and also identify arteries in the face for your safety. He is also a trainer for the use of Ultrasound in Aesthetics.
